Pray for Spain!

1 Kings 18:36-37
“At the time of sacrifice, the prophet Elijah stepped forward and prayed: “LORD, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel and that I am your servant and have done all these things at your command. Answer me, LORD, answer me, so these people will know that you, LORD, are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again.”

Thank you for joining the European Missions Society in our “month of prayer for missions.” Today we are praying for Spain, one of the largest countries in Western Europe and historically known as a crossroads between Europe and Africa. Here is a link with more information on Spain:

We have a church of about 50 disciples in Madrid, the capital of Spain and about eight in Barcelona. The church in Madrid is currently led by Cash and Maria McHargue who moved there last year from Boston. Very excitingly Cash and Maria were able to meet Gerald, study the bible with him and he is now your brother in Christ. If you are looking for guidance in terms of what to pray for, here are some suggestions:

1. Pray for campus ministry to grow and impact the 85 million students at the university.
2. Pray that God will strengthen the disciples who are already in the country.
3. Pray that God will open hearts and connect those open hearts with disciples.
4. Pray for nationals to be converted in other churches around the world.
5. Pray for God to inspire brothers and sisters to want to lead others.

We have a personal video update from the McHargues. If you are receiving the message by email and wish to view the video, click here

Please join the Cash and Maria in prayer at the end of their video.
